Solar Eclipse at TurnPark

April 08, 2024, 2:00pm – 4:00pm

Join us on April 8th 2024 at TurnPark to experience the upcoming solar eclipse!
The next one isn’t expected until August 2044, so this is your chance!
The solar eclipse presents an ideal opportunity to spend time outdoors with your loved ones, reflecting on the beauty and mysteries of the universe.
A solar eclipse is an alignment of the sun, the moon, and the earth in such a way that the moon passes directly between the sun and the earth, blocking the sun's rays from reaching the earth's surface.
In the Berkshires, the moon will block out up to 96% of the sun, with the most coverage around 3:27pm.
We’ll provide hot chocolate and a campfire to level out the feeling of being lost in the universe and humanity’s insignificance
Bring your eye protection (we’ll have some sunglasses but not many) and whatever else you need to contemplate this amazing and rare event!
The event is free but your donation to support the Park is greatly appreciated!
PLEASE NOTE: The event will be held in case of clear weather!
