Join Devan Arnold of Sassafras Land Care for a guided plant walk where participants will learn which plants grow around TurnPark and good ways to recognize them.
Devan will share his knowledge of how to identify the different plants found along the hike, and offer insight into which ones possess edible qualities, medicinal properties, or interesting folklore.

Devan Arnold is a long-time Berkshire resident with an avid passion for the local flora. He has over 15 years of experience working in the horticultural field, a BA in Agro-ecology from Prescott College and a Masters of Science in ecological design and planning from the Conway School of Landscape Design. Devan currently runs Sassafras Land Care LLC, a Great Barrington based ecological land care company dedicated to enhancing both the visual appeal and ecological function the local landscape through thoughtful design, installation, and maintenance of gardens and larger landscapes.
